About the Role
Schindler is hiring a Global Strategic Logistics Manager at its Hanover Plant in Pennsylvania. This pivotal role is responsible for leading logistics transformation initiatives across U.S. corporate and manufacturing operations in alignment with Schindler’s global supply chain strategy. The position requires a combination of high-level strategic thinking and hands-on logistics leadership, focused on optimizing end-to-end supply chain performance, driving continuous improvement, and enhancing operational resilience. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop logistics capabilities, and ensure compliance with global trade and safety regulations.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership

Lead global logistics transformation projects

Act as the US regional representative for global logistics initiatives

Align logistics processes, people, and systems across corporate and plant levels
Logistics Network Optimization

Design and implement efficient end-to-end logistics flows
-
Improve KPIs like lead time, on-time delivery, capacity utilization, etc.

Optimize distribution, kitting, and spare parts operations
Compliance & Risk Management
-
Ensure customs, import/export, and safety compliance
-
Develop risk management and business continuity plans
Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with IT, Procurement, Field Ops, Controlling, and Plant Logistics

Support onboarding, training, and change management
Continuous Improvement
-
Lead lean initiatives and CI methods (Six Sigma, etc.)

Drive cost, quality, and service improvements
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

Lean / Six Sigma Master Black Belt (Required)
