Responsibilities
- Locate and mark underground utility services at job sites.
- Develop and export detailed utility maps for projects.
- Provide technical assistance to blade operators and project managers.
- Collaborate with estimators to obtain project designs and models.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safe work practices.
- Basic math proficiency, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages, with or without a calculator.
- Familiarity with Trimble GNSS Surveying and Data Collection systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Reliable attendance and ability to maintain a consistent work schedule.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends, as required by the asphalt industry.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and onboarding process.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in the asphalt industry.
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to loud noise.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Must be physically able to perform tasks involving extensive use of arms, legs, and full-body movement, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and material handling.
- Ability to walk up to six miles per day while carrying surveying equipment and marking supplies.
