Job Description

UWE Bristol is offering an exciting 9-month fixed-term Graduate Assistant position within the College of Business and Law (CBL). This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to contribute to student success and gain valuable experience in higher education. As a Graduate Assistant, you will support academic programme teams in managing and improving the delivery of CBL programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Graduate Assistant Role Overview

In this dynamic role, no two days are the same. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on student engagement data to inform programme improvements.

  • Inclusivity Initiatives: Assist in embedding inclusivity strategies across programmes.

  • Event Organisation: Help organise and promote academic events that enhance the student experience.

  • Project Support: Contribute to at least one College-wide improvement project, gaining hands-on experience in project management.

Graduate Assistant Skills & Attributes

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • IT Proficiency: Comfort with standard university IT platforms to provide guidance to new students and produce basic reports.

  • Communication Skills: Confidence in dealing with and referring on queries as appropriate.

  • Organisational Abilities: Proactivity and the ability to manage competing demands and tight timescales.

  • Reflective Insight: Ability to reflect on personal university experiences to contribute to continuous improvement and student support.
