Position Summary

The Graphic Design Specialist creates high-quality graphics for ETS assessments and related products, ensuring accuracy, style consistency, and compliance with project specifications. The role involves collaboration with content teams, adherence to deadlines, and coordination with external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess requests for graphics and respond to inquiries from Assessment Development staff.

  • Provide workflow updates on timelines, issues, and progress to Project Leads and Supervisors.

  • Collaborate with content teams on art style, layout, and universal design guidelines.

  • Proof newly created art to ensure accuracy against project requests.

  • Follow documented art creation and revision procedures.

  • Share design tips, efficiencies, and software techniques with the team.

  • Work in proprietary and partner item banking systems.

  • Manage files across multiple testing programs, adhering to unique technical specifications.

  • Meet deadlines and internal milestones.

  • Generate project reports as required.

  • Coordinate with external vendors to meet technical and design requirements.

  • Support senior design staff in vendor project coordination.

  • Maintain compliance with ETS ethical standards, policies, and regulations.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate’s degree preferred (Computer Graphics, Graphic Design, Commercial Art, or related).

  • Equivalent education and experience combination accepted.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional graphic design experience.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (latest versions).

  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and printing processes.

  • Knowledge of design tools and artwork manipulation techniques.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.

  • Basic understanding of project management.
