About the Role

Michael Baker International is seeking a visual communications professional to support our Corporate Communications team. This fully remote, part-time, temporary role is perfect for a creative designer with corporate communications experience and advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills. You’ll create compelling visual assets for both digital and print platforms, ensuring brand consistency and high-impact storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and enforce brand standards across all visual communications.

  • Design social media graphics, internal communications visuals, and executive presentation materials.

  • Create animations, videos, and templates for cross-platform use.

  • Produce marketing collateral such as advertisements, brochures, and event materials.

  • Develop and refine C-suite presentations and high-impact PowerPoints with charts and infographics.

  • Retouch and manage photo assets (headshots, project photography).

  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Maintain organized file systems and adhere to proofing protocols.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years in visual communications or graphic design (corporate or agency experience preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or Communication Design.

  • Mastery of design principles: branding, typography, layout, color theory, and hierarchy.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro).

  • Strong PowerPoint skills including animation and template creation.

  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, and digital content creation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Portfolio of diverse print and digital work (required).

Preferred

  • Familiarity with AI-enhanced design tools.

  • Knowledge of print production and vendor coordination.

  • Experience with macOS and project management software (e.g., Workamajig).
