Mitie Landscapes is looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our dynamic team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Operative to work with the UK’s leading facilities management company. Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you’ll help maintain our clients’ sites to a high standard all year round. From grass cutting and hedge trimming to snow clearing in winter, you’ll get hands-on outdoor experience in a rewarding, full-time permanent position. Key Responsibilities of a Grounds Maintenance Operative
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you’ll play a vital role in keeping outdoor spaces tidy, safe, and attractive. Duties include:

Grass cutting, hedge trimming, leaf clearing, and litter picking.

Using hand tools and horticultural machinery.

Spraying and border maintenance.
-
Snow clearing, gritting, and installing festive displays during winter.

Reporting site hazards and maintaining safe working conditions.

Operating vehicles and equipment in line with health and safety rules.
What You’ll Need for the Grounds Maintenance Operative Role
To succeed as a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you should have:

A passion for outdoor work and flexible environments.

Grounds maintenance experience (desirable but not essential).

A PAI & PA6 spraying license (preferred).

A full driving license (some roles may require vehicle operation).

Good understanding of smartphone technology.
