Grounds Maintenance Operative – Keep Outdoor Spaces Beautiful

We’re looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team in Nottingham, working across various sites in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and thrives in a hands-on role.
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for lawn mowing, hedge trimming, planting, weeding, and general landscape maintenance across housing sites, including new builds, extra care sites, and sheltered accommodation. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help keep communities looking their best. Working hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, offering a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities of a Grounds Maintenance Operative
- Operating gardening machinery, powered hand tools, and ride-on mowers.
- Performing general grounds maintenance, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and litter clearing.
- Driving company vehicles and transporting tools, machinery, and equipment to various sites.
- Maintaining gardening equipment to ensure longevity and safe operation.
What We’re Looking For in a Grounds Maintenance Operative
- A full UK driving license (essential).
- Experience using power tools such as hedge trimmers and lawnmowers.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in grounds maintenance.
- A strong work ethic and a passion for delivering excellent service.
