Kitchen Manager / Head Chef

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Kitchen Manager / Head Chef with expertise in food preparation, menu execution, cost control, catering, special events, and kitchen operations. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for training and overseeing kitchen staff, ensuring proper cooking times, maintaining food quality and presentation, and expediting orders to maintain a smooth flow of service. You will also collaborate with the Executive Chef, General Manager, and leadership team to develop diverse and exceptional menu offerings.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Head Chef (references required).
  • Strong kitchen management skills with a history of leading successful teams.
  • Expertise in food preparation, flavor profiles, and culinary best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and efficiency in handling challenges.
  • Ability to delegate and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Passion for staying current with culinary trends and implementing industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership and ability to adapt to evolving operational needs.
  • ServSafe Management Certification required.
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license—both are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth execution of food preparation and service.
  • Expedite food orders to maintain efficiency and ensure quality.
  • Estimate food and labor costs to optimize operations.
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff, providing guidance and training.
  • Work on the line as needed, preparing dishes to maintain service flow.
  • Coordinate and execute catering and special events.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage kitchen personnel.
  • Address and resolve any operational challenges or customer concerns.
  • Handle administrative duties, including inventory management and reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with sanitation, nutrition, and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage kitchen staff schedules.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and respectful work environment.
  • Work closely with other managers and leadership to uphold workplace integrity and teamwork.
