Your Mission

As Head of Business Development & Marketing, you’ll lead our growth strategy—converting new business opportunities, increasing brand awareness, and managing a small team across marketing and sales functions. Your leadership will drive revenue, strengthen our client base, and amplify our mission to help people live more independently at home.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, support, and develop a small team in marketing, business development, and sales

  • Align team performance with strategic goals through coaching and clear KPIs

  • Monitor output and maintain morale in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment

Business Development

  • Identify and develop new B2B and B2C opportunities in healthcare and local networks

  • Build relationships with professionals (IFAs, SFE solicitors, NHS staff, charities, community groups)

  • Represent Access Care at expos, meetings, and events

  • Maintain regular in-person contact with referrers and potential partners

Sales Strategy & Client Conversion

  • Manage inbound and outbound sales activities

  • Qualify leads and convert enquiries into loyal clients

  • Refine sales messaging and onboarding materials

  • Analyse competitor activity and adjust sales strategy accordingly

Marketing & Brand Oversight

  • Oversee marketing campaigns across digital and print platforms

  • Ensure all content reflects brand tone, compliance, and professional standards

  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and freelancers to create compelling visuals and messages

  • Track marketing metrics and refine tactics to boost performance

Promotional Activity & Visibility

  • Manage PR opportunities, industry partnerships, and community outreach

  • Attend and coordinate events to increase brand visibility

  • Strengthen our profile with local press and regional media

Insight & Reporting

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and demographic profiling

  • Track lead sources, pipeline metrics, and conversion rates

  • Present insights and recommendations to senior management

  • Contribute to broader commercial strategy with data-led planning

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience & Education

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or marketing

  • Experience within the care, healthcare, or professional services sectors (preferred)

  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a small team

  • Track record of revenue generation through successful marketing and sales

Core Skills

  • Strategic planning and campaign execution

  • Sales conversion and client relationship management

  • Marketing oversight (digital and print)

  • Data interpretation and decision-making

  • Confident presentation and networking abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Tools & Tech Knowledge

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and contact management strategies

  • Experience with Asana, Mailchimp, Canva, Google Analytics, Meta Ads (or similar tools)

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite
