Cambian Potterspury Lodge School is seeking a dynamic, committed Head of Education to lead its education provision for students aged 8–16 with Autism Spectrum Condition, complex needs, and challenging behaviour. As part of a specialist, nurturing environment, the Head of Education will play a vital role in shaping a meaningful future for every student.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage educational standards and outcomes

Drive improvements in teaching, learning, curriculum, and assessment

Develop and support the teaching team through coaching and performance management

Oversee curriculum planning, schemes of work, and qualifications

Analyse and report assessment data and outcomes

Support the school’s wider safeguarding responsibilities
-
Deputise for the Principal when required
Skills and Attributes
Proven leadership and management ability
Resilience, creativity, and passion for special education
Strong verbal and written communication
Ability to build a positive, inspiring culture among staff and learners
Confident with behaviour management and positive behaviour strategies
Skilled in data use, curriculum development, and inclusive education
Essential Requirements

Degree-level teaching qualification

Clean, current driving licence

No criminal record relevant to child safeguarding

Experience working with students with SEND and complex needs
