CareFlex Limited is seeking a dynamic Head of Finance to lead the Finance and Customer Support Teams. As the Head of Finance, you will collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to align financial strategies with business objectives. This role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, along with managing key relationships within the organization and external stakeholders. Your leadership will be essential in driving financial performance and supporting the continued growth of CareFlex.

 Key Responsibilities of the Head of Finance

As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for managing a team of financial experts and customer support professionals, ensuring they deliver strategic financial insights and a robust support service. Key duties include overseeing monthly financial reports, conducting trend analysis, and managing compliance processes. You will work closely with the SLT to develop and implement financial strategies that support company growth and operational excellence.

 Financial Leadership and Strategy Development by the Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will take a leadership role in developing financial strategies that drive company growth, ensuring sound financial decision-making across all departments. You will provide financial guidance and analysis to support business decisions, helping to align operational goals with financial objectives. Promoting continuous improvement, the Head of Finance will manage budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and driving efficiency across the business.

 The Role of the Head of Finance in Governance and Risk Management

In your capacity as the Head of Finance, you will ensure governance is maintained through effective financial policies, procedures, and controls. You will oversee the preparation for Board meetings and assist in evaluating financial risks, ensuring that adequate insurance is in place and compliance standards are met. Your expertise will be crucial in managing financial audits and ensuring financial statements are accurate and transparent.

 Managing Financial and Commercial Operations as the Head of Finance

As Head of Finance, you will lead the management of monthly financial statements, stock reconciliation, and cash flow forecasts. Your strategic input will also help assess new sales strategies, pricing models, and capital expenditure requests, ensuring long-term profitability. Additionally, you will guide the team in conducting regular risk assessments and credit control processes to minimize financial exposure.

Person Specification for the Head of Finance

Qualifications:

• Fully qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role.

• Experience with cost accounting, inventory control, and MRP/ERP systems.

• Familiarity with multi-site operations and strategic assessment of acquisitions is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to decision-making.

• Leadership experience in developing teams and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
