La Clínica de La Raza is a nationally recognized community-based health center with a 40+ year legacy of providing high-quality, culturally appropriate care to diverse, underserved populations. We are seeking passionate and driven Health Educators to deliver impactful wellness programs, drive outreach, and support client empowerment through education and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
Client Education & Support

Deliver group classes and one-on-one sessions on topics like chronic disease prevention, reproductive health, adolescent wellness, and more

Help individuals enroll in health coverage and understand how to access services

Develop and maintain culturally relevant health materials and resources
Program Development & Documentation

Contribute to curriculum creation and public health education campaigns

Track activities, client interactions, and progress reports for program evaluation and grant compliance
Community Outreach & Advocacy

Coordinate with Promotoras and peer educators for workshops and events

Represent La Clínica in local partnerships, community forums, and health fairs

Build strong collaborations with schools, nonprofits, and community-based organizations
Required Qualifications
Health Educator I
-
High School diploma/GED
-
1+ year experience providing health education to underserved communities
-
2+ years working in a community setting, ideally in a health center
Health Educator II
-
Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Health Sciences, or Behavioral Sciences
-
2+ years health education experience with underserved populations
Other Requirements
-
Demonstrated knowledge of health education principles (e.g., motivational interviewing, group facilitation)
-
Passion for social justice, community health, and empowering diverse populations
-
Experience with outreach, peer counseling, or health program coordination
-
Comfortable working with youth (required for school-based sites)
