Key Responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant

Deliver Compassionate Care: Provide attentive care to patients, addressing their physical, emotional, and mental health needs.

Assist with Daily Activities: Support patients in daily tasks such as eating, bathing, dressing, and mobility to promote independence.

Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with Mental Health Nurses to implement care plans and ensure patient safety.

Monitor Patient Progress: Observe and document changes in patient conditions, reporting to the appropriate healthcare staff.

Support Rehabilitation Efforts: Encourage and assist patients in rehabilitation programs to achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements for the Healthcare Assistant Role

Valid UK Work Visa: Authorization to work in the UK for more than 20 hours per week.

Current DBS Check: An up-to-date Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Completed Practical Training: Certifications in Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, Fire Safety, and Conflict Resolution.

Immunization Records: Proof of immunizations for Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, BCG, and COVID-19.

PMVA Certification: A current Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression certificate.

Mental Health Experience: At least six months of experience working under the supervision of a Mental Health Nurse.
