Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team as a Market Development Executive. This individual will play a crucial role in driving growth by identifying and engaging independent primary care physicians and specialists. The ideal candidate is a dynamic self-starter with a strong background in complex sales, excellent relationship-building skills, and a passion for improving healthcare delivery.
Primary Responsibilities

Market Segmentation & Targeting: Strategically analyze and segment assigned geographic regions to identify and prioritize independent physicians and specialty practices for potential partnership opportunities.

New Business Development (70%): Conduct in-person sales presentations and initial meetings with prospective physicians, clearly communicating Privia’s value proposition and service offerings.

Opportunity Management: Follow up diligently with interested physicians, nurture leads, and manage them through the sales pipeline to successful closure.

CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities, leads, and opportunities in Salesforce. Participate actively in weekly sales calls to share updates and insights.

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute innovative ideas and best practices to support a high-performing national sales team and help improve overall strategy and performance.

Ongoing Practice Support: Serve as a key relationship manager for onboarded practices, ensuring continued satisfaction and acting as a liaison for additional sales support.

Lead Generation Partnerships: Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to develop tailored lead-generation strategies for high-value accounts and prospective clients.

Local Partner Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships with local partners, healthcare organizations, and distributors to support broader market penetration.

Market Launch Support: Assist in establishing Privia’s presence in new markets as needed, including early-stage planning, outreach, and practice recruitment.

Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the success of the sales function and broader organizational goals.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in complex sales or healthcare consulting, particularly within competitive and fast-paced environments.

Demonstrated success as an individual sales contributor, with a history of exceeding sales targets and independently managing deals.

Proven track record of generating over $1 million in annual sales.

Must have access to reliable personal transportation.

Strong working knowledge of HIPAA rules and a commitment to full compliance with privacy and security regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Total Compensation: $170,000 – $200,000 annually, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation.

Base Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000, depending on experience, education, and geographic location.

Variable Compensation: Eligible for performance-based variable incentives ranging from $85,000 – $100,000.
