Job Overview
Pine Springs Preparatory Virtual Academy (PSPVA), a Stride K12 partner school, is seeking a dedicated High School CRE Business Teacher to deliver engaging and personalized online instruction to students across North Carolina. The teacher will guide students in business education and career readiness, supporting their academic growth and post-secondary success.
Responsibilities
- 
Deliver rich and interactive synchronous and asynchronous lessons. 
- 
Personalize learning experiences to meet diverse student needs. 
- 
Maintain accurate gradebooks, monitor progress, and ensure academic integrity. 
- 
Prepare students for standardized and certification exams. 
- 
Regularly communicate with students, parents, and learning coaches. 
- 
Support students’ career planning using tools like Career Builder and Career Cruising. 
- 
Collaborate with other educators and contribute to professional learning communities. 
- 
Serve as an advisor for Career & Technical Student Organizations. 
- 
Support the CTE Program Coordinator in building partnerships for work-based learning. 
- 
Participate in project-based learning initiatives. 
Minimum Qualifications
- 
Bachelor’s degree. 
- 
Active North Carolina teaching license. 
- 
Ability to pass background checks. 
Preferred Qualifications
- 
Prior experience teaching high school business or CTE subjects. 
- 
Experience with online teaching platforms or virtual classrooms. 
- 
Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
- 
Effective communication and organizational skills. 
- 
Receptive to coaching and ongoing professional development. 
Work Environment
This is a home-based position requiring a professional workspace free from distractions. The teacher must be able to work independently and adapt to new technology platforms to ensure excellent student outcomes.
