Must hold a New Mexico Career Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Certification with a Business endorsement.

If certified in another state, the candidate must:

Provide proof of New Mexico license application within 7 days of the start date.

Job Overview
The Remote CTE Business Teacher is responsible for delivering online business education, supporting student career development, and ensuring academic success through individualized instruction and consistent family engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous online lessons.

Personalize learning experiences for students based on skill level and progress.

Maintain open and positive communication with students and parents.

Support career planning through tools like Career Builder and Career Cruising.

Track and report student performance using K12’s learning management system.

Prepare students for standardized tests.

Create and adapt additional learning materials when necessary.

Serve as an Advisor for Career & Technical Student Organizations.

Assist with building business and industry partnerships for student internships or projects.

Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning communities.

Attend required training and testing sessions in person as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Active state teaching license

Ability to pass a background check
