Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and qualified High School Health Teacher to join the Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA), a Stride K12 partner school. This role is designed for an Arkansas Department of Education–certified health educator who can deliver engaging online instruction, support student growth, and foster strong partnerships with families and learning coaches.
This is a remote teaching position, though some travel (approx. 20% of the time) is required for state testing, professional development, and school functions. Teachers typically work 40+ hours per week during standard school hours.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous instruction.

Personalize learning and differentiate based on student mastery.

Maintain accurate grade books, academic integrity, and student records.

Prepare students for high-stakes standardized testing.

Build strong relationships with families and provide timely communication.

Support parents/learning coaches with instructional and technology needs.

Collaborate with colleagues to interpret student data and adjust instruction.

Travel as required (approx. once per month).
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Active Arkansas Health Teaching Certification (required).

Ability to clear background check.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching high school students.

Online or brick-and-mortar classroom experience.

Comfort with online learning platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to analyze data to drive instructional decisions.

Work Environment
