Job Details:
Michigan Great Lakes Virtual Academy (MGLVA), a Stride K12 partner school, is seeking a High School Spanish Teacher to deliver high-quality, personalized online instruction. This is a full-time virtual position open to residents of all 50 states and Washington, D.C., with occasional travel required (~20% of the time) for professional development, student testing, or school events. The role focuses on student-centered learning, progress monitoring, and maintaining active communication with students and learning coaches/parents. The position offers a base salary of around $47,000, with eligibility for a performance bonus.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous lessons tailored to individual student needs.

Differentiate instruction based on student mastery and personalize learning to ensure success.

Maintain grade books and ensure academic integrity, making placement and promotion decisions.

Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, communicating regularly and responding promptly to questions.

Support learning coaches and parents with curricular and technical issues.

Collaborate with other teachers to interpret student data and drive instructional decisions.

Participate in professional development and occasional on-site school activities.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.

Active state teaching license with a Spanish endorsement.

Ability to clear the required background check.

Ability to work independently in a professional home office environment, typically 40+ hours/week.
