We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team at Waterloo Lodge School, Chorley. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a key role in delivering literacy interventions and providing academic support to help students reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):

Literacy Intervention Plans: Create personalized literacy intervention plans based on pupils’ GL assessment outcomes.

Positive Behaviour Management: Lead and model positive behaviour management strategies in the classroom, fostering a proactive learning environment.

Baseline Assessments: Support pupils in completing baseline assessments throughout the year, ensuring a clear understanding of their educational needs.

Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging literacy interventions to maximize pupil achievement and development.

Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with teachers to evaluate and adjust lessons to meet the literacy needs of all students.

Cover for Teachers: Provide cover in the absence of teachers, as required by senior leadership.

Administrative Duties: Complete necessary paperwork, including pupil overviews, intervention plans, and progress reports.
Requirements for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA):

Educational Qualifications: Maths and English GCSE (Grade C/4 or equivalent).

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in an educational setting, specifically in a HLTA role.

Skills: Experience in delivering interventions and supporting pupils with a wide range of academic and behavioural needs.
