Covering areas from Fife to Aberdeen to Inverness, this permanent position will play a vital role in delivering high-quality asset and lifecycle replacement works. As a Highways Site Supervisor, you’ll oversee road resurfacing, drainage, structures maintenance, and road safety improvements, while ensuring projects align with Transport Scotland’s climate and safety goals. As a Highways Site Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

Supervising operational teams and supply chain partners during highways, bridges, and resurfacing works.

Monitoring project progress and adjusting schedules in collaboration with stakeholders.

Conducting site inductions and enforcing health and safety regulations.

Resolving on-site issues and ensuring projects meet documentation and quality standards.

Overseeing site waste management and COSHH compliance.

Participating in emergency response and reactive maintenance operations when required.
What We Look for in a Highways Site Supervisor
We welcome applications from professionals with:

Previous experience as a Highways Site Supervisor or relevant highways/construction roles.

SSSTS, SMSTS, or NRSWA Supervisor certifications (preferred).

Experience in bridge maintenance as an advantage.

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Commercial awareness and an understanding of record-keeping and cost control.

A full UK driving licence (essential — company vehicle provided).
