Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Pharmacist to support Correctional Health Services in New York City. This is a full-time, 14-week assignment ideal for professionals who are dependable, adaptable, and committed to ensuring safe and effective pharmaceutical care within a correctional health setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Manage inventory and handle warehouse-related pharmaceutical processes, including proper storage and distribution.

Ensure compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) and related documentation protocols.

Operate pharmacy dispensing systems efficiently to support daily pharmaceutical operations.

Participate in sterile compounding procedures and maintain standards in the IV room to ensure safety and sterility.

Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for patient medication management (experience with EMRs is preferred but not required).
Qualifications:

Active and valid Pharmacist license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) — Primary Source Verification is required.

Minimum of one (1) year of pharmacy experience, preferably in institutional or correctional health environments.

Demonstrated experience with:

Warehouse operations related to pharmaceutical supplies.

DSCSA compliance procedures.
-
Pharmacy dispensing systems and technologies.

Sterile processing and IV preparation.

EMR systems (preferred but not mandatory).
