In this role, you’ll maintain a clean, well-stocked perishable department, prepare and package fresh products, and deliver a top-tier shopping experience while meeting food safety and sanitation standards.
What You’ll Do
Customer Service

Take customer orders by phone or in person

Assist customers with product selections

Answer product-related questions with confidence
Food Service
-
Prepare, slice, label, and package fresh items
-
Rotate stock for freshness
-
Use Telxon for inventory scanning and management
-
Support other technical food prep areas as needed
Sales & Merchandising
-
Merchandise products effectively
-
Use suggestive selling to increase department sales
-
Make regular announcements about fresh items to drive interest
Sanitation & Safety

Clean and sanitize food display cases and prep equipment
-
Comply with food safety guidelines and departmental SOPs

Aguas

Prepare fresh fruit-based drinks and products
Floral

Design floral arrangements and manage seasonal displays
Market (Meat Dept.)

Cut and prepare meat

Operate meat processing equipment

Maintain cold storage and ensure proper rotation
Produce

Cut, wrap, and stock fresh produce

Provide samples and product education

Support floral as needed
Seafood

Prepare and package fresh seafood

Maintain freezers and product knowledge
What You’ll Need

Minimum age: 18
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Completion of Company Orientation & Safety Training upon hire
-
Customer service, communication, and organizational skills
-
Ability to operate Telxon, label machines, and ACR systems
Physical Demands (By Department)
Market:

Frequently lift up to 90 lbs and manage heavier loads

Exposure to cold, wet, hot, and noisy environments

Frequent standing, bending, stooping, climbing stairs/ladders
Seafood:

Lift and manage up to 50 lbs or more

Frequent exposure to wet and cold environments

Perform fine motor tasks and repetitive movements
