HR Compensation Manager (Hybrid Position)

Location: 900 South Pine Island Road, Plantation, FL 33324

Primary Function

The HR Compensation Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and implementing compensation strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with company goals and industry standards. This role oversees compliance with internal policies and government regulations while supporting scalable compensation models and merger & acquisition (M&A) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee enterprise-wide compensation strategies, including salary structures and incentive plans for staff and clinicians.
  • Ensure compensation programs are competitive, compliant, and scalable across national markets.
  • Conduct market research, analyze compensation data, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize salary and benefits packages.
  • Play a key role in M&A due diligence, including job mapping, geographic pay structures, and salary benchmarking.
  • Conduct quantitative analyses to support compensation initiatives and strategic decision-making.
  • Perform benchmarking analysis to maintain competitive pay structures and job families.
  • Provide expert compensation guidance to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition teams, and business leaders.
  • Manage annual merit and bonus programs, as well as non-clinician incentive plans.
  • Oversee compensation data collection, pay equity studies, and participation in salary surveys.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in compensation practices and automation.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor compensation data accuracy.
  • Educate employees on compensation policies, job documentation, and evaluation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, such as FLSA regulations.
  • Mentor and train compensation team members, providing performance feedback.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manages and provides guidance to Compensation Analyst(s).

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in compensation management.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional)
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management Certifications)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of HR laws and compensation regulations.
  • Expertise in state and federal compliance requirements for compensation programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to implement long-term, large-scale solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in M&A compensation best practices.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Hybrid position (onsite & remote) – Must be based in Florida.
  • Non-patient-facing office role with frequent phone and computer use.
  • May require sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of files or boxes (up to 50 lbs).
  • Fast-paced, high-volume work environment.

Performance Expectations

  • Adhere to all organizational security policies and protect sensitive information, including ePHI and PHI, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
