Primary Responsibilities of the HR Manager

Employee Relations & Policy Development: Manage employee relations across the organization, including resolving workplace issues, promoting a positive work environment, and updating the employee handbook to reflect current policies, procedures, and compliance with labor laws.

Performance Management: Lead the performance review process by developing and implementing performance evaluation tools, coaching managers on providing feedback, and ensuring consistent application of performance standards across departments.

Benefits Communication & Implementation: Effectively communicate and roll out new employee benefit programs, ensuring employees understand available offerings, enrollment timelines, and eligibility criteria.

Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team and employees at all levels to address and resolve employee concerns, guide organizational development initiatives, and support a culture of engagement and accountability.

Policy Interpretation & Compliance: Serve as the subject matter expert on HR policies, offering guidance to both managers and employees. Regularly review and revise HR policies to align with legal requirements and evolving organizational goals.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring. Ensure a seamless onboarding experience that prepares new hires for long-term success.

Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. Coordinate annual open enrollment and ensure accurate enrollment and changes are processed.
Preferred Qualifications for the HR Manager

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Professional Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HR management capacity, with demonstrated success in multiple functional areas such as employee relations, benefits, and talent management.

Team Leadership: Prior experience in managing direct reports, including mentoring and performance management responsibilities.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage employees and leadership at all levels.

Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Problem-Solving: Proven ability to assess complex situations, develop practical solutions, and implement them with a balanced and proactive approach.
