Position Summary
Auria’s Albemarle, NC location is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join the plant leadership team. The HR Manager will ensure the location meets objectives in safety, cost, delivery, quality, compliance, and employee engagement while serving as the primary interface for labor relations.
Responsibilities

Serve as an active member of the plant management team to achieve operational objectives.

Act as primary liaison to union representatives; manage grievance meetings, collective bargaining, and collaborative labor relations.

Advise management and employees on HR policies, labor relations, and recommend appropriate actions.

Administer employee records, personnel transactions, and benefits programs.

Assess training and development needs; develop and implement location-specific training plans.

Lead employee engagement and retention strategies, including surveys, recognition programs, and communication forums.

Manage employee onboarding and assimilation processes.

Oversee workforce planning, including job descriptions and HR evaluations.

Manage recruitment and staffing for hourly, salaried, and professional-level positions.

Administer performance review and salary administration programs; conduct compensation and benefits analyses.

Conduct structured investigations into HR concerns and incidents; implement corrective and preventive actions.

Participate in hearings and investigations conducted by external agencies (e.g., OSHA, unemployment, worker’s compensation).

Establish and maintain relationships with community HR organizations.

Prepare and manage HR communications: job postings, presentations, newsletters, and meeting notes.

Participate in corporate and location HR projects.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of HR experience with responsibilities as outlined above.

At least 3 years as an HR Manager in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
-
Working knowledge of employment and labor laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.).

Prior experience managing all aspects of labor relations in a manufacturing workforce, including collective bargaining.

Knowledge of benefits administration, annual enrollment, life status changes, COBRA, etc.

Experience with HRIS/Payroll systems, preferably Kronos, ADP, PeopleSoft, or similar.

Familiarity with TS16949 and ISO standards as they relate to HR.

Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Willingness to work flexible schedules to cover multiple shifts.
