About the Role

OATS Transit is a nonprofit transportation provider serving seniors, individuals with disabilities, and rural residents across Missouri. We are hiring an HR Specialist to support the Human Resources Director in managing over 600 employees, including drivers, administrative staff, and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage new employee onboarding, I-9s, E-Verify, and personnel file maintenance

  • Post jobs, support recruiting, and monitor requisitions

  • Administer employee benefits and support FMLA/ADA compliance

  • Maintain employee records and assist with the HRMS (Paycom) system

  • Support employees with pay stubs, tax forms, and system navigation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Project Management

  • 2–4 years of HR experience

  • SHRM or HRCI certified (or willing to become certified)

  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and multitasking ability

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (Paycom preferred)
