Atlantic Group is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to support one of our established manufacturing clients based in New Providence, NJ. This hybrid position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who excels in employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and strategic HR leadership. The ideal candidate will drive HR initiatives that align with business goals, promote a positive workplace culture, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is suited for a proactive, collaborative individual who can lead HR functions across the employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to training, development, and performance management—while enhancing HR systems, processes, and workforce engagement.


Key Responsibilities

HR Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and industry regulations.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on employment legislation and provide guidance to leadership and staff on compliance-related matters.

Employee Relations & Organizational Culture

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Manage conflict resolution, employee grievances, and disciplinary actions professionally and in accordance with company policy.

  • Foster employee engagement through open communication, recognition programs, and morale-boosting initiatives.

Compensation, Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Oversee payroll processing in coordination with internal teams or third-party vendors to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, and wellness initiatives.

  • Support compensation planning and total rewards strategies to attract and retain talent.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts including job postings, resume screening, interviews, offer negotiations, and onboarding.

  • Develop workforce planning strategies to address current and future staffing needs.

  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a seamless and efficient recruitment process.

Training, Development & Performance Management

  • Design and implement employee training programs to enhance skills, compliance, and career development.

  • Coordinate annual performance review cycles, feedback sessions, and individual development plans.

  • Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.

HR Systems Management & Reporting

  • Maintain and optimize the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure data integrity and functionality.

  • Generate HR metrics and reports to support strategic decision-making and compliance audits.

  • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, improve processes, and inform HR strategies.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience, preferably within a manufacturing or cosmetics industry environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., ADP, Paycom), payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Core Competencies: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate across multiple departments.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance standards.

  • Industry Experience: Prior exposure to the manufacturing or cosmetics sector is highly desirable.
