Human Resources Business Partner – Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement key HR initiatives, including leadership development, talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, rewards and recognition, and coaching.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and external partners to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance HR policies, systems, and processes, leveraging industry trends and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to employees and management, providing guidance on career development, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Identify and address employee performance issues, ensuring fair and effective resolution of workplace concerns.
  • Lead and support employee engagement programs to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Partner with the Training & Development team to assess and coordinate employee training initiatives, supporting career growth and internal talent development.
  • Provide insightful feedback to business leaders on talent management, promotions, and workforce development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Compensation & Benefits team to ensure alignment with regional business units.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5+ years of experience in HR management or people leadership.
  • Proven expertise in organizational development, HR administration, and business support.
  • Willingness to engage in hands-on HR responsibilities as needed.
  • Ability to split time between the Costa Mesa office and job sites across the greater LA, OC, and SD areas.
