Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Leader to oversee all local HR functions at our state-of-the-art automated distribution center in Hernando, MS. This strategic role is key to fostering a safe, positive, and compliant work environment while aligning HR operations with company policies, contracts, and budget objectives. The role encompasses leadership across employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, training, payroll coordination, benefits, compliance, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic partner to division leadership, guiding talent management and workforce development efforts.

Drive efficient and cost-effective hiring strategies to support operational needs with high-quality internal and external candidates.

Collaborate with leadership to ensure staffing levels support business objectives and foster a strong organizational culture.

Provide guidance on employee relations, including coaching, counseling, and performance management at all levels.

Adapt effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with shifting priorities.

Ensure compliance with employment laws and offer actionable HR solutions.

Investigate and resolve employee complaints in alignment with Title VII and EEO guidelines.

Supervise and develop local HR staff, promoting a culture of accountability and professional growth.

Manage department expenses in line with budget expectations.

Advise new managers on handling performance challenges and employee issues.

Administer leave policies in compliance with FMLA and ADA regulations.

Coordinate key HR functions locally, including payroll, benefits, performance reviews, and compensation processes for exempt and non-exempt staff.

Lead and resolve employee relations matters to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.

Deliver clear written communications and presentations to both internal and external audiences.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field.

5–7 years of experience as an HR Generalist, including prior experience in a leadership role.

In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws.

Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across a diverse workforce at all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for budgeting and tracking), PowerPoint (for presentations), and Word (for documentation).
Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use hands for typing and phone communication on a regular basis.

Frequent reaching and occasional lifting or moving of up to 20 pounds.
