Position Overview

As the Human Resources Manager, you will lead HR initiatives at your branch, supporting management teams and employees while driving operational efficiency. This role emphasizes a proactive, solution-focused HR approach, ensuring CTDI remains an employer of choice. You will manage HR staff, oversee employee relations, implement policies, and contribute to leadership and talent development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a branch HR leader, addressing business initiatives, employee concerns, and operational challenges.

  • Manage HR Generalists and Coordinators, assessing strengths, development needs, and performance.

  • Handle employee relations issues, including attendance, performance, and conduct, ensuring thorough documentation.

  • Act as the first point of contact for HR questions, including payroll, benefits, and company policies.

  • Partner with Recruitment and Branch Leadership to ensure smooth onboarding, promotions, and talent development.

  • Compile People Metrics (turnover, safety, employee issues) and develop solutions with Regional Management.

  • Recommend and deliver training programs (leadership, safety, HR compliance).

  • Implement policies, procedures, and protocols in coordination with regional HR leadership.

  • Conduct sensitive investigations as necessary.

  • Process payroll changes and updates in HR systems (UltiPro).

  • Perform other HR duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of HR experience, including employee relations and sensitive investigations.

  • Familiarity with HR areas: Total Rewards, Talent Management, etc.

  • Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to assess talent and execute development plans.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software.

  • Competencies: Action Oriented, Business Acumen, Conflict Management, Ethics & Values, Interpersonal Savvy, Problem Solving, and more.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Previous management experience (1–3 years).

  • Training experience, including content development and delivery.

  • Experience with UKG, Kronos, or temporary staff management.

  • Background in high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service, or logistics operations.


Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.


Physical Demands & Work Conditions

  • Warehouse environment with possible local and occasional overnight travel.
