Position Overview

The HR Manager at Hydro Cressona leads and coordinates HR activities for a 24/7 plant with over 1,000 employees, implementing people processes and procedures that align with business goals. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and functionally to the Regional HR Manager or VP HR – Extrusion North America, the HR Manager ensures employee engagement, compliance, and workforce effectiveness in a unionized, manufacturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement strategies to enhance employee and labor relations and foster engagement.

  • Conduct HR processes including recruitment, hiring, policy administration, compensation & benefits, performance management, training, and retention in compliance with plant, Business Area, and Corporate policies.

  • Support and administer benefit, compensation, and bonus programs at the plant level.

  • Conduct workforce compliance and training programs.

  • Implement processes to manage absenteeism and enhance workforce productivity.

  • Oversee performance management, succession planning, and employee recognition programs.

  • Manage workforce reductions and employment terminations as needed.

  • Oversee best-practice onboarding to drive safety performance, policy compliance, and employee satisfaction.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 7 years HR generalist experience, including experience in a unionized and manufacturing environment.

  • Solid foundation in all HR areas: recruiting, employee/labor relations, benefits, compensation, training, and organizational development.

  • Proactive problem-solving and team-building skills.

  • Strong negotiation, KPI management, and training abilities.

  • Safety and employee engagement acumen.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of personnel.
