OR A BACKGROUND IN RETAIL STORE MANAGEMENT** The Human Resources Manager/Generalist will play a key role in the recruitment, growth, and development of retail employees and work closely with key leaders to help develop and implement people strategies to enhance business performance and meet strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with director to develop people strategies focusing on talent acquisition, talent management, training, engagement, and recognition.
- Act as the designated point of contact for the retail population and manage employee
- disciplinary actions to ensure consistent, uniform, and fair application of company policies and procedures and government laws.
- Recommend solutions to issues, consult employees, and facilitate dispute resolution.
- Liaise and engage with the retail population to drive consistency in Human Resource data, processes, and analytics to improve HR strategy and culture.
- Conducts interviews, new hire check-in’s, employee roundtables and exit interviews.
- Implement new programs and initiatives that will continue to develop employees and contribute positively to the culture and employee engagement.
- Conduct store visits as needed to develop business relationships with employees at all levels
- Take an analytical approach to support the business by finding creative and strategic ways to improve processes, procedures, etc.
- Oversee Talent Acquisition and facilitate open position and requisition management
- Adhoc reporting as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required in a related field
- Must have minimum 5 years of experience working in an HR function relations, talent management, recruiting, and performance management
- Knowledge of US employment laws, multi-unit, multi state environment, and high visibility environment
- Must be detail oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; positive team player
- Convey positive can-do attitude towards tackling problems
- Ability to seek feedback and seek other points-of-view while maintaining confident direction
- Team player who can thrive in a relationship driven environment
- Occasional travel as needed
