Company Overview
Discover the world through a new lens with Lindblad Expeditions, a trailblazer in modern expedition cruising.
Since launching the first non-scientific civilian voyage to Antarctica in 1966, Lindblad Expeditions has remained at the forefront of exploration. Today, the company operates the industry’s largest and most diverse fleet of 19 purpose-built, owned, chartered, and leased expedition vessels.
Who We Are
Lindblad Expeditions is a pioneer in expedition travel, having led the way in modern exploration since 1966. We were the first to bring civilian travelers to Antarctica, opened destinations like the Galápagos Islands and Easter Island to tourism in 1967, and led the first tourist expedition through the Northwest Passage in 1984. Our groundbreaking partnership with National Geographic began in 2004, further enhancing our mission of exploration and discovery. Today, we operate a fleet of 21 ships, guiding nearly 30,000 guests annually to some of the most remote and untouched places on Earth—all in pursuit of the “Exhilaration of Discovery.”
