    Job Summary

    As the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a designated market, this role serves a diverse commercial client base, including healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, educational institutions, and office complexes. You will be responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in commercial settings. Your expertise in air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts will be essential in performing these tasks effectively.

    This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external partners, working on projects ranging from new facility installations to retrofitting existing buildings.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the team leader/project manager and customers to fully understand project requirements, anticipate potential challenges, and coordinate materials and scheduling.

    • Act as the direct point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction by inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC equipment at client sites.

    • Utilize advanced software, technology, and hand tools, following blueprints and engineering specifications to diagnose and resolve issues.

    • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by being available for overtime, weekend work, and occasional overnight stays as needed.

    • Maintain strict safety standards, ensuring accountability and proper documentation of company-issued tools and equipment.

    Work Location & Schedule

    This position follows a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence at least three days per week.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited technical school program preferred.

    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC service and maintenance.

    • Technical training is an advantage.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using handheld devices (Smartphone, iPad).

    • Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, with a clean driving record (no major traffic violations such as DUI in the past 5 years, or reckless driving/hit & run in the past 3 years).

    • EPA Certification or relevant HVAC-related certifications (e.g., Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer) preferred.

    Physical & Safety Requirements

    • Ability to legally and safely operate a vehicle while wearing a seatbelt.

    • Must wear protective gear including helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harnesses, and safety boots.

    • Ability to twist, squat, reach overhead, and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours on concrete surfaces).

    • Frequent lifting/moving of up to 40 lbs. and occasional lifting of more than 40 lbs.

    • Must be able to safely use a ladder with a 350 lb. total weight limit while carrying up to 50 lbs. of equipment.

    • Comfortable working in confined spaces as small as 30” x 45”.

    • Must be able to access rooftops using fixed and extension ladders (typically 15’–20’ high, occasionally exceeding 50 feet).

    • Exposure to varied environmental conditions including weather extremes, moving machinery, heights, electrical hazards, and loud operating equipment.
