Action on Disability (AoD) is hiring motivated and compassionate In-work support workers to help Disabled individuals succeed in their workplaces across London. As an In-work support worker, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one, tailored guidance that enables Disabled people to thrive independently. In-work Support Worker – Make a Real Difference
As an In-work support worker, you’ll provide direct, personalised guidance in the workplace to help Disabled employees and interns gain confidence, independence, and career success. This role involves working closely with both the individuals and their employers to ensure effective inclusion, development, and accessibility in daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Work 1-on-1 with Disabled individuals using tailored support plans

Identify workplace tasks and support adjustments

Monitor progress and reduce support over time as confidence grows

Provide feedback and liaise with supervisors and employers

Promote equal opportunities and inclusive practices
Be the In-work Support Worker Who Builds Futures
We are expanding our pool of In-work support workers to strengthen our commitment to employment inclusion. You’ll work under the guidance of AoD’s experienced supervisors to help participants and employers implement practical workplace strategies. Your role supports lasting change, from onboarding through to independent performance.

What We’re Looking for in an In-work Support Worker
As an In-work support worker, you must be:

Professional, empathetic, flexible, and dependable

Experienced in education, employment support, or disability services

Familiar with workplace dynamics and inclusive practices

Confident using Microsoft Office and managing workplace documentation
-
Willing to travel across London and occasionally work unsocial hours

Open to training and committed to AoD’s values
Desirable Skills:

Understanding of pan-disability and inclusive employment
-
Relevant support work qualification (not essential)
