Key Responsibilities of an Information Security Analyst

Essential Skills Required for an Information Security Analyst

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, cybersecurity, or related fields.

3+ years of InfoSec or IT engineering experience with progressive responsibilities.

2+ years managing cloud infrastructure and O365 technologies.

Hands-on experience with Active Directory / MS Entra ID, SOAR tools, vulnerability management, and query languages (KQL, SPL).

Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC2, PCI, and SOX compliance standards.

Strong networking, email authentication, and event logging knowledge.

Proven incident response and analytical capabilities.

Preferred certifications: GSEC, CISSP, AWS.
