Position Summary
The Information Security Analyst is responsible for protecting an organization’s computer systems, networks, and sensitive data from cyber threats. This role monitors systems for vulnerabilities, investigates security incidents, implements safeguards, and ensures compliance with regulatory standards to minimize organizational risk.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, threats, and vulnerabilities.

Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents promptly.

Implement security controls including firewalls, encryption, and access management.

Conduct risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.

Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures.

Provide training and awareness programs to employees on cybersecurity best practices.

Stay informed on emerging security technologies and evolving threat landscapes.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEM tools, and encryption technologies.

Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ preferred.
