Information Security Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst on behalf of our client to strengthen their security posture. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring security incidents, assessing vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance, and implementing security measures to protect critical information systems. Your expertise will play a vital role in detecting, responding to, and mitigating potential security threats, helping to reinforce their overall cybersecurity framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze security incidents to safeguard the organization’s information systems.
  • Assess vulnerabilities, identify risks, and respond to security breaches promptly.
  • Develop and implement security controls, policies, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Document and report security breaches, incidents, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance security protocols and threat mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize security tools and technologies such as intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewalls, and data loss prevention solutions.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats, industry trends, and evolving cybersecurity technologies.
  • Conduct security awareness training to educate employees on best practices and threat prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and data loss prevention tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate complex security risks.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
  • Experience in security incident response, threat analysis, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are a plus.
