Kutak Rock, a national US law firm, is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their Cybersecurity team. This role supports the Director of Cybersecurity and the IT department in maintaining secure systems and strategies aligned with business, client, and regulatory needs. The analyst will focus on mitigating technical risks, managing security systems, and assisting with incident response in a collaborative environment.
This is a full-time, hybrid position (potential to become remote after an introductory period) based in one of the following firm offices: Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; Fayetteville, AR; Irvine, CA; Little Rock, AR; Los Angeles, CA; Kansas City, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Omaha, NE; Philadelphia, PA; Richmond, VA; Rogers, AR; Scottsdale, AZ; Spokane, WA; Springfield, MO; Tallahassee, FL; or Washington D.C. Responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and implementing secure system configurations and processes.
- Performing vulnerability and risk analysis.
- Managing systems to ensure only approved applications run.
- Establishing security metrics and reporting on effectiveness.
- Documenting, tracking, and responding to security incidents.
- Analyzing logs to identify threats and coordinating responses.
- Assisting in acquiring new security products and services.
- Collaborating with vendors on security projects.
- Gathering intelligence on emerging cyber threats and regulations.
- Communicating security information and recommendations.
- Promoting data security awareness.
- Participating in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Ensuring security standards are current.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of vulnerability management.
- Ability to document, implement, and manage security infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge of security tools and technologies (listed in the full description).
- Understanding of common and emerging security attacks.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and relevant regulations (GLBA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and recommend security improvements.
Education and Experience:
- High school degree (bachelor’s in computer science preferred).
- CISSP, SSCP, GIAC, or ECSA certification required.
- 5+ years in IT operations (system admin responsibilities).
- 3+ years in information security.
- Experience with Windows, Windows Server, or networking devices preferred.
Compensation: $81,000-$110,000 annually (commensurate with experience).
