Why the Information Security Engineer Role Matters
As an Information Security Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in defending TTEC’s infrastructure against cyber threats. Working within the SOC and Threat Management teams, you’ll investigate security alerts, analyze potential intrusions, and strengthen the company’s security posture across multiple technologies — from SIEM and EDR to cloud and network firewalls.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct proactive monitoring, threat hunting, and investigation of security events.

Analyze data from SIEM, EDR, email security, and NGFW to detect potential intrusions.

Collaborate with Information Security, IT Operations, and Engineering teams to strengthen defenses.

Respond to critical security incidents and escalate as necessary.

Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity best practices.

Protect TTEC from data loss, breaches, and cyberattacks through rapid response and analysis.
What Makes a Strong Information Security Engineer
A successful Information Security Engineer thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong technical acumen, and communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’ll need a mix of hands-on experience, analytical thinking, and proactive problem-solving to excel in this role.
Requirements:

2–3 years of experience in Information Systems or IT Security roles.

Hands-on SOC experience handling investigations and incident responses.

Expertise in at least two security technologies: SIEM, EDR, email security, NGFW, or cloud.

Strong foundation in enterprise IT and security principles.

Proficiency in major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Excellent communication, teamwork, and independent work capabilities.

A degree or formal training in Information Security or related field is preferred.
