Key Responsibilities for an Intermediate DevSecOps Engineer

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitLab.

Deploy and oversee applications on Kubernetes and Docker.

Use Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, and Helm to configure infrastructure as code.

Monitor cloud systems, configure alerting, and ensure platform reliability.

Apply NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP security standards.

Automate workflows with scripts and tools for efficiency.

Support DevOps best practices in testing, code quality, and deployment.
Skills Needed for Intermediate DevSecOps Engineer

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related STEM field.

4+ years of DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE experience.

Hands-on knowledge of AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, and GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux.

Familiarity with programming frameworks (Node.js, TypeScript, React).

Strong experience in cloud automation, security, and compliance.

Must hold an active U.S. security clearance.
Preferred for Intermediate DevSecOps Engineer Candidates

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or CNCF KCNA.

DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, SSCP, etc.).

Knowledge of Python, Bash, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
