We are seeking an experienced RMIC Consultant to support the implementation of an agency’s Risk Management Strategy and contribute to Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts.

This role is integral in developing, executing, and enhancing Risk Management and Internal Control (RMIC) activities, ensuring alignment with U.S. Federal Government standards and policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients in developing and deploying solutions that drive strategic initiatives.

  • Leverage DoD and private sector experience, including coordination with small businesses and non-traditional defense vendors.

  • Research and apply innovative technology solutions for DoD requirements.

  • Design and deliver training materials, guidance documents, and presentations.

  • Assess completeness and accuracy of imputed costs and heritage assets.

  • Develop and deliver reports, presentations, and research papers for client personnel.

  • Conduct ad-hoc research to support client needs.

  • Communicate and interface with clients both virtually and on-site.


Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics/Actuarial Sciences, Communications, Government, or related field.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in RMIC, Business Strategy, Change Management, Business Process Reengineering, or Process Improvement.

  • Experience with OMB A-123, Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), Test of Effectiveness (ToE), Test of Design (ToD).

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess environmental liabilities and imputed costs.

  • Familiarity with DoD systems for tracking environmental liabilities.

  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).

  • Ability to work directly with government clients and provide subject-matter expertise.
