About the Job

UNIQLO, a leading brand of Fast Retailing Group, one of the largest apparel retailers worldwide, is committed to offering innovative, high-quality, and affordable clothing that respects the individuality and lifestyle of its customers. We are currently looking for an International Merchandiser to join our Europe team based in our London office. This role will report to the Inventory Control Manager and manage a team of two. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Branch Merchandising, Core Merchandising Planning, Store Operations, Logistics, In-Store Merchandising, IT, and Global Headquarters.

As the International Merchandiser for UNIQLO Europe, you will oversee the in-season inventory for all of our stores across Europe (UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, and Poland) as well as our E-Commerce platform.

This role is ideal for someone with at least five years of experience in stock planning, inventory management, or branch merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecast and analyze stock levels by week, month, and season using Excel, ensuring stock settings align with targets, and take necessary actions to meet KPIs.
  • Use available reporting and analysis to make data-driven decisions and implement action plans for both departmental and regional responsibilities.
  • Manage auto-allocation system settings to ensure company plans are met.
  • Oversee weekly stock consolidations to optimize inventory across all channels.
  • Collaborate with store operations and COOs to address outstanding issues and provide solutions as needed.
  • Work closely with logistics teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective stock movement from start to finish.
  • Assist in evaluating, developing, and training team members.
  • Manage the team’s daily tasks and escalate issues to the inventory control manager.
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes and procedures to drive departmental efficiencies.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in branch allocation or international merchandising.
  • Experience in the fashion retail industry is highly desirable.
  • A strong understanding of relevant inventory management metrics and KPIs.
  • Highly analytical and numerate, with advanced Excel skills for handling and analyzing data from multiple sources.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.
