About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to manage and optimise inventory processes for a leading manufacturer in the Hydrogen Energy Sector. Working closely with the Production team and Materials Planner, you will ensure accurate, timely kitting and uninterrupted production flow by maintaining effective stock control, efficient inventory reporting, and ERP system accuracy.
Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Monitor daily inventory activities, maintain accurate stock levels, and reduce waste through effective processes.

Goods Inspection: Verify goods received against purchase orders; report discrepancies or quality issues to Materials Planner and QHSE.

Kitting Operations: Assemble and deliver production kits accurately and on time, reducing errors and delays.

Reporting & Analysis: Generate regular inventory reports with insights on variances, shortages, and replenishment needs.

ERP Management: Use the Emir ERP system to maintain real-time, accurate stock records.

Collaboration: Liaise with Production, QHSE, Procurement, and Logistics to support seamless operations.

Process Improvement: Recommend and implement inventory control enhancements to boost efficiency and compliance.

Stock Optimisation: Reduce excess inventory and improve material flow to support lean operations.

Despatch Support: Ensure correct materials and documentation are ready for outbound shipments.

Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, well-organised stores area that promotes safe and efficient movement of materials.

What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
-
HNC (or higher) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
-
2+ years of inventory control or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or energy
Technical Skills:

Proficient with ERP systems (preferably Emir)

Strong understanding of kitting processes and stock optimisation

Experience in inventory auditing and reporting
Key Competencies:

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Proactive and adaptable with a problem-solving mindset

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Other Requirements:

Ability to work safely and maintain compliance with QHSE standards

FLT certification preferred (training available)
