Job Summary

Citi is seeking a seasoned professional to lead capital markets initiatives and strategic advisory services for clients across the Caribbean and Central America (CCA) regions. This role involves raising funds, analyzing financial performance, and advising on capital structures, debt strategies, and financial transactions. The successful candidate will manage institutional relationships and support the development and execution of complex financial solutions to meet client needs across markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients in the CCA region to raise capital, advise on financial strategy, and structure market transactions.

  • Analyze financial and operational data of underperforming companies and develop strategic turnaround or investment plans.

  • Develop and apply financial models to assess the impact of various transaction scenarios and create actionable recommendations.

  • Lead discussions to restructure or refinance debt and raise new debt capital, considering market conditions and client objectives.

  • Utilize financial platforms such as Finance Workstation, TPS Workstation, DPAddins, EQRMS, Bloomberg, and Citi Velocity for risk management, revenue tracking, and recordkeeping.

  • Provide clients with diverse capital market solutions by leveraging knowledge of debt capital markets and private loan instruments.

  • Manage relationships with a broad range of institutional clients, including corporates, governments, central banks, commercial banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and mutual funds.

  • Deliver tailored financial solutions in interest rates, credit, foreign exchange, and commodities, supporting client needs in financing, investment, and hedging.

  • Oversee portfolios of existing market transactions and ensure proper management of trade execution, documentation, and compliance.

  • Expand institutional sales across the LATAM region, focusing on strategic growth in the Caribbean and Central America.

  • Develop and execute a coordinated sales and marketing strategy to increase market share and revenue, aligned with franchise objectives.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to establish strategic market penetration plans and ensure Citi’s offerings remain competitive and aligned with business goals.

  • Lead origination, structuring, and distribution of debt capital market transactions for corporate and public-sector clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (or foreign equivalent).

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience in institutional sales within the Caribbean and Central America markets.

  • Proven expertise in:

    • Investment and financial analysis

    • Basel regulatory framework

    • Derivatives pricing and methodologies

    • Corporate finance and capital markets

    • Regional financial regulations and compliance

    • Relationship management with institutional investors

    • Financial systems such as Bloomberg, Finance Workstation, TPS/E-Dealer Workstation, DPAddins, and EQRMS

  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%.

  • Hybrid/telecommuting schedule may be available per Citi policy, within commuting distance of the New York worksite.

Compensation

  • Annual salary range: $275,000–$300,000

  • Additional compensation may include discretionary or formulaic bonuses, as well as retention incentives.
