Job Opportunity: Database Application Developer

Role Overview
As a Database Application Developer, you will be a key member of the Change team, responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications that support business operations. Your focus will be on Enterprise Business Systems (IFS), database development, data integration, middleware design, and software architecture.
In addition, you’ll assist with troubleshooting software issues, ensuring timely solutions, and providing updates as needed.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Application & Systems Development
- Conduct systems analysis, design, and implementation
- Develop and test new software applications
- Design logical and physical database structures for IFS
- Plan and follow software development life cycle (SDLC) best practices
- Prepare and document software specifications
- Ensure seamless handover of developed applications to the Service Desk
🔹 Additional Duties
- Share knowledge and provide IT team training
- Assist in user training where needed
- Participate in Change Advisory meetings
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends
- Recommend and implement software upgrades and improvements
What We’re Looking For
🔸 Required Skills & Experience
✔ 5+ years of experience as a Software Developer
✔ Experience with ERP platforms
✔ Expertise in database management (Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL, PL-SQL)
✔ Strong knowledge of data integration & transformation
✔ Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical teams
✔ Proficiency in SDLC tools (GitLab, Jira)
✔ Highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
✔ Team player with excellent communication skills
🔸 Preferred Skills & Qualifications
✔ Hands-on experience with IFS Applications (technical & process level)
✔ Experience with document output applications (SteamServe, Opentext Exstream)
✔ IT-related degree or equivalent experience
✔ Knowledge of Linux, AWS, .NET Core
✔ Experience in Agile development and business system integrations
✔ Web development expertise (ASP.Net, PHP, Java, C#)
✔ Ability to lead technical and business-driven software initiatives
✔ Familiarity with Microsoft technologies & business process modeling
