Risk and Compliance Analyst – Key Responsibilities

As a Risk and Compliance Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing IT risk and compliance standards across systems and audits. Your primary focus will be SOX readiness, audit management, and IT control validation.

IT General Controls & SOX Compliance

  • Conduct detailed assessments to verify the design and operational effectiveness of IT general controls.
  • Lead SOX compliance initiatives, identifying gaps, recommending improvements, and driving remediation strategies.

Readiness Assessments & Audit Management

  • Perform readiness evaluations to strengthen SOX audit preparedness.
  • Manage audit requests by anticipating auditor expectations, gathering accurate data, and providing timely responses.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders while upholding integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

Qualifications for Risk and Compliance Analyst

To excel as a Risk and Compliance Analyst, you should bring strong experience in IT audits, risk management, and compliance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of IT audit or risk management experience, with direct SOX compliance focus.
  • Strong understanding of IT control environments and compliance frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working remotely in fast-paced environments.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to manage audits end-to-end.
  • Location preference: Eastern or Central time zones.

Compensation and Work Details

  • Pay Range: $60 – $90 per hour (USD).
  • Remote role across the U.S. (location-based pay regulations may apply).
  • Engagement through a service provider associated with KPMG.
