Restaurant Manager Responsibilities
IT Operations & Administration
As a Restaurant Manager, you will oversee day-to-day IT operations, including troubleshooting issues, managing onboarding and offboarding, provisioning user accounts, and administering Google Workspace and mobile devices through tools like Kandji. Your work ensures smooth operational efficiency and reliable technical support across the organization.
Automation, Integration & AI Development
The Restaurant Manager will design, build, and maintain scalable automations and integrations using SaaS REST APIs, low-code platforms such as Retool and Tray.io, cloud environments (AWS, GCP), and SQL/Redshift databases. You’ll also help teams adopt AI tools such as OpenAI and Google Gemini, identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and reduce manual tasks.
Restaurant Manager Collaboration
Cross-Functional Collaboration
The Restaurant Manager partners with teams across Torch to identify inefficiencies, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and implement automation projects. You act as both a product manager and engineer, presenting solutions and gathering stakeholder feedback to improve operations.
Customer Support & Engineering Collaboration
As a Restaurant Manager, you’ll serve as the first line of technical support, investigating issues, documenting root causes, and resolving production bugs. You will author PRs, deploy fixes, and create self-service tools to prevent recurring problems. Close collaboration with product and engineering teams ensures long-term, effective solutions that enhance the user experience.
Core Requirements for Restaurant Manager

5+ years of IT engineering or related experience

Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

Coding experience in Python, Ruby, React, or JavaScript with production deployment

Knowledge of REST API integration and AI platforms (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic)

Google Workspace administration and Mobile Device Management (Kandji, Jamf, Intune)

Experience with account provisioning and employee lifecycle management
Technical Skills

Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Ruby, React, JavaScript) with SQL database experience
