Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Governance Analyst / Technical Writer to support the development, documentation, and maintenance of IT governance policies, procedures, and compliance-related artifacts. This role plays a key part in driving audit readiness, standardization, and strategic alignment across IT operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in technical writing, policy documentation, and IT compliance, and can clearly translate technical concepts into accessible content for a variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

 Documentation & Governance Support

  • Develop, update, and maintain IT governance documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Translate complex technical and compliance requirements into clear, understandable documents.

  • Support technical writing and review of division-wide governance policies and flagship documentation.

 Compliance & Audit Coordination

  • Oversee IT audit inquiries and coordinate with internal auditors and stakeholders to provide compliance evidence.

  • Manage IT audit remediation efforts by collaborating with engineers, developers, and leadership to resolve findings.

  • Maintain and manage the Audit Kanban board with accurate scope and status tracking of compliance tasks.

 Governance & Process Improvement

  • Support operationalization of governance practices and socialize governance artifacts (e.g., audit responses, control frameworks).

  • Assist in extending the scope of ITD governance, security architecture, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a governance model for ITD’s critical systems and workflows.

Qualifications

 Required Experience (7+ years):

  • IT governance and compliance standards

  • Technical writing, editing, and policy documentation

  • Process modeling (Microsoft Visio)

  • Business writing and executive presentation development

  • Microsoft Visio, Planner, and SharePoint Online

 Additional Requirements:

  • Power BI (3+ years of experience)

  • Strong understanding of IT audit and compliance response processes

  • Familiarity with Agile environments

  • Strong listening, communication, and analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
