Job Overview:

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex enterprise IT networks, focusing on configuration management, operational needs, and quality assurance. The engineer will assist government users in diagnosing system problems, collecting information, and providing resolutions. The position requires working on technology development, enhancing current systems, and pioneering new technologies.

Location: Washington, DC (Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the area).

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with 12+ years of relevant experience.

  • SSBI clearance (adjudicated within the past three years).

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).

  • Security+ certification (in line with DOD 8570).

  • Experience with enterprise IP networks, WANs, LANs, and Cisco routing/switching.

  • Expertise in IP networks, Broadcast over IP, and VoIP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Network+ certification (DOD 8570).

  • Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCP, MCS).

  • Knowledge of patch panels, telecommunications fundamentals, and military protocols.

  • Ability to work independently and interact with senior military officials.

  • Experience in quality assurance, training, and presenting briefings.
